Come to Casa Colibrí (Hummingbird House), a magical hideaway with a free private, kid-safe pool in the secure, gated community of Punta el Custodio, perched on a promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with easy access to alluring beaches, world-class surfing, jungle tours, seaside horseback riding and much more! We’re just 75 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta airport, but a whole world away from the noise and bustle of a big city.
Starting in October, 2022, we have free Starlink high-speed Internet with no data limit.
Casa Colibri sleeps eight adults in four air-conditioned bedrooms. It’s nestled in a tropical jungle with private gardens of exotic flowers and plants. The two stairways down to the ocean are just 50 yards away. Casa Colibri has a private pool, but you can also enjoy the free-form community pool at the tip of the Point. You’ll have a full-time housekeeper/chef who prepares traditional Mexican dishes using the freshest ingredients.
Mom alert: If you have young children Casa Colibrí is ideal, as its private, kid-safe pool is immediately adjacent to the main living area: you can keep an eye on your kids while carrying on with your daily activities. Casa Colibrí is the only villa in our tiny community that has its pool always visible — and immediately accessible — from the main living area. There’s no wall, no stairs, no barrier between you and your kids You will find the pool to be a total kid magnet. [Note: The pool can be heated during winter months at an additional charge of $35 US per day. Propane is expensive!]

Please Read Before Making a Reservation
We are an isolated vacation destination deep in rural Mexico. Casa Colibrí is very close to Mother Nature -- it's on a point, covered with lush tropical vegetation, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There are all sorts of birds and critters — sea turtles, whales (in season), dolphins, pelicans, hummingbirds, iguanas, geckos, armadillos, raccoons, and other wildlife abound. This also means bugs. If you are concerned about any of this, please contact the us at korshino@gmail.com with your questions or concerns.
During the months of June, July and August, please consider the following: these months are hot, sporadically rainy and humid with frequent thunderstorms and power failures, the same as occur up and down the Riviera Nayarit. Many of our guests come during these months precisely to see these fantastic storms and brief but biblical rains.

“Wonderful place to relax by the ocean."
We have rented Casa Colibri twice now and it is wonderful. Beautiful open-air main palapa lets you relax indoors and outdoors at the same time, with a great little pool for a quick dip (or longer for the kids!). Rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, with plenty of room for your stay.

Fresh squeezed orange juice and breakfast ready as soon as we arose. All rooms maintained in spotless condition with artfully beautiful personal touches everywhere. Each room is separated from the others and with the open air environment, each maintains privacy but one can still hear the surf hitting the rocks in the evening.The lush tropical grounds are kept trimmed and gorgeous.
"Absolutely amazing!"
It doesn't get much better than this. Everything from the house to the landscape of the area was so beautiful. It is in a remote area where you are free to do as you please. No fighting crowds at the beach or small restaurants at the bottom of the hill if you'd like to step out for something different. It was as if paradise was all yours and you didn't have to share with anyone.
